just playing

The last few months have been a bit of a slump for me—couldn't be fucked. So I decided to just play. Sometimes I forget that it's okay to create just for the sake of creating, with no goal in mind. I think I’ve always had this idea that the outcome has to be the end game, but that’s not how I really work.

I’m naturally curious, One thing I truly love is the process—the trial and error, the freedom to change direction if something isn’t working.

Lately, if you haven’t noticed, I’ve been into collaging.

A workshop with Laith McGregor at Caloundra Regional Gallery really got me inspired. It’s been a way to brain dump and get those creative juices flowing.

As a photographer, I never used to give myself that space to warm up or just play around before starting a project. Now, I’m realising how important it is to loosen up and just create.
